Provide a helping hand

St. Vincent de Paul Society is a charity organization of the Catholic Church. We assist residents of Columbia, Missouri mostly with rent and utility bills but all assistance requests are considered. If you are low-income and in need of assistance, call our helpline at 573-424-1022 on weekdays from 8:30 to 9:30 am, follow the recorded directions, and leave a message. If we can assist, one of our phone volunteers will return your call.

St. Vincent de Paul Society is a tax-exempt charitable organization. Our funds come entirely from donations.

Residents of Columbia, Missouri are eligible for assistance.   St. Vincent de Paul Society assists the poor mainly with partial rent payments and utility expenses, but all requests are considered. Leave a message on the help line 573-424-1022 M-F 8:30-9:30 am. SVDP also provides dinner on the 5th Monday of the month at Loaves and Fishes.


St. Vincent de Paul Society members are all volunteers. Some return helpline messages using their home computer. Some do home visits as part of a team. Some serve meals at Loaves and Fishes program in Columbia. Vincentians pray with each other and with those whom we serve.  We always need volunteer who love to help.
